Anesket is a controlled substance that is used to treat depression and anxiety. You must have a prescription from your doctor in order to get Anesket. Do not get a refill of your prescription without talking to your doctor first.

Your doctor may need to monitor your progress as you are taking Anesket. When you are taking this medicine, you will receive it by injection under the skin (subcutaneous) at your doctor’s office or pharmacy.

Your doctor may also prescribe other medications to treat side effects of Anesket, including pain medication. You can expect to feel dizzy and lightheaded. This may continue for about two hours after your Anesket dose. It will not affect your Anesket vision, and it may improve during that time. You should try to avoid drinking alcohol while taking Anesket. Your doctor will probably suggest that you have a urine test taken during your first visit.

You should not drink any liquids for 24 hours before this test. If you don’t have the opportunity to have a urine test, do not drink any liquids until you do. A urine test will detect any drugs or medications that you may be taking, including alcohol, other illegal substances, and prescription medications.
